John Chance Cotti
John Chance Cotti grew up on the South Shore of Massachusetts, between the beaches and woods of Cape Cod and the urban landscape of Boston. He moved to New York City and, after graduating with a B.F.A in Film and Television from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts in 2007, formed Create Worlds Entertainment (formerly Ragged Clown Entertainment). He has spent the following years working across the country and internationally as a professional writer, actor, director, editor and shooter, based primarily in NYC and Boston. His full-service filmmaking and photography company is outfitted with professional lighting, camera and sound departments and experienced in narrative, promotional, documentary, and event needs from inception and production through post. As an artist devoted to the use of fine art to move, educate and connect others, he has taught filmmaking and acting in Boston, New York and New Jersey, as well as training in the medical field and as a certified Reiki Practitioner, taking every opportunity to positively affect the world around him.

He has experience in developing character breakdowns, treatments, scene progressions, polished drafts, spec scripts, and promotional supporting prose for festivals and distribution. He is also a published poet and prose author.

He is a trained theater and film principal and supporting actor with experience in everything from musical theater to cable television series and feature film work, specializing in dramatic film and television. He is also a multi-talented musician, with over 20 years playing guitar, drums, piano, wind instruments and vocal coaching.

Experienced in creating Narratives, Documentaries, Music Videos, Television Series, Business Promotional Media, Electronic Press Kits and more, he has worked in all departments on set, including production sound, grip and electric, lighting, and camera as well as editorial and directing. He currently oversees and works hands-on in these departments with a streamlined, mobile crew; shooting with a Sony ZV E 10 hybrid, a B camera in a Blackmagic Design camera body, Panasonic lens, Hero 4 GoPro, DJI Phantom 3 Quadcopter and full sound, grip, electric and lighting. He uses Final Cut Pro for cutting, Davinci Resolve for coloring, and Compressor and DVD Studio Pro for delivery.
As a Photographer he has shot sporting events, weddings, film sets, magazine features, models, landscapes, head shots etc., using a Nikon D3500 and Photoshop for coloring.
